In July 2015, I published on Amazon A Slice of the Seventies, The Lying Scotsman, and Straws, which form the third-person memoirs in The Mug Trilogy. They were followed by Potholes and Magic Carpets, a contemporary novel set in rural Kent and London. I also published my only non-fiction book, Living with Postcards on Amazon. Random Bullets is a contemporary psychological thriller with a paranormal twist.

In 2016, I published Kindle, paperback, and audiobook editions of a contemporary thriller with a paranormal twist called The Hostile.  In late 2016, I published book two in The Hostile series, called Holiday for The Hostile. Book three, The Hostile Game, was published in April 2017. Confronting The Hostile was published in August 2017. There are audiobook editions of all four books in the series on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes. I narrated book 1 and Alexander Doddy narrated books 2-4. Living with Postcards

This non-fiction book describes my close relationship with old postcards, mainly fantasy ones. I have collected them since art college in the seventies and now own over two thousand of these charming, beautiful, historic items. I started collecting them whilst writing my thesis on Fantasy in Postcards when I was studying for a graphic design degree. All the postcards in my book are from my own large collection. “A perfect present from the past.”

A Slice of the Seventies

This first book in the Mug Trilogy tells the story of Jersey-born Mug, a troubled girl from a recently broken home. This third-person memoir covers her time as a teenager at the Isle of Wight Music Festival in 1970, the same year she follows a guru. The book tracks her tumultuous time as an art student in Coventry and follows her time with fellow-student, David, and the dramatic events leading on from their graduation.

The Lying Scotsman

The words in this third person memoir were triggered by the entanglement between Mug, a recently divorced woman, and Michael, a complex, mendacious, Scottish baggage handler who was hiding many shocking secrets. Her original plan was to write about their unusual story as a Christmas gift to him, taking the opportunity to describe her life prior to their meeting because it shaped how she felt about him, why she tolerated what others might deem unacceptable and dictated how she lived her future life. The purpose of this book changed into a desperate effort to make sense of unfolding, bizarre events and to help them both deal with the aftermath.

Potholes and Magic Carpets

The main action takes place in rural Kent and London in 2015. It looks at the dramatic incidents, challenges and temptations in the past and present lives of four couples of varying ages, professions and sexual persuasions that are all linked by either blood or friendship. Just as in life, the negative, selfish, sometimes violent natures of some of the characters in Potholes and Magic Carpets wreak havoc on the innocent. A tale of not so simple folk.
