My Books

There are paperback and Kindle versions on Amazon of all my twelve books. Audiobook editions of The Hostile, Holiday for The Hostile, The Hostile Game, Confronting The Hostile, Random Bullets, Potholes and Magic Carpets, plus Her demonic Angel are all available on Amazon, Audible, and iTunes.

In July 2015, I self-published on Amazon A Slice of the Seventies, The Lying Scotsman, and Straws, which all form loosely autobiographical The Mug Trilogy. These were followed by Potholes and Magic Carpets, a contemporary novel set in rural Kent and London. I also published my only non-fiction book, Living with Postcards on Amazon. Random Bullets is a contemporary crime thriller with a paranormal twist. This is my favourite book and was published in November 2015.

A collection of all my short stories written up until February 2016 can be found in Her demonic Angel. Despite its title, this book is in no way erotica; neither are any of my other works. Her demonic Angel is written in a variety of genres, so there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy. Her demonic Angel is also available on Amazon, Audible, and iTunes as an audiobook.

In 2016, I published Kindle, paperback, and audiobook editions of a contemporary crime thriller with a paranormal twist called The Hostile.  In December 2016, I published book two in The Hostile series, called Holiday for The Hostile. Book three, The Hostile Game, was published in April 2017. Confronting The Hostile was published in August 2017. There are now audiobook editions, narrated by Alexander Doddy, of all four books in the series on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes. The Hostile Series Box Set is available as a Kindle for £2.30.

If you are in Great Britain, all my books on my Amazon author page in both paperback and Kindle editions can be found here.

The Hostile

The Hostile NEW FRONT cover

In a rundown area of Manchester, inside a bathroom in a small, terraced house overflowing with children and dysfunctional parents, an unfathomable, powerful entity infiltrates twelve-year-old Serena’s life with disastrous effects. The enigmatic force not only dramatically affects introverted Serena’s life but threatens the well-being of everyone she knows, especially those people who for some reason have earned the strange girl’s displeasure. It soon becomes clear that nobody should ever upset Serena if they know what is good for them.

After reading The Hostile, you will never look at DIY in the same way again.

Hostile test cover audiobook (hand)The Hostile is a contemporary crime thriller with a heavy sprinkling of paranormal. It is in a similar vein to my previous thriller, Random Bullets, but with more emphasis on paranormal than in my earlier book.

The Hostile is available in paperback and Kindle editions on Amazon and is also available on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes as an audiobook.

Her demonic Angel

Her demonic Angel NEW FRONT cover resizedHer demonic Angel was published in February 2016. It is a baker’s dozen of all of my short stories written thus far. The stories have been written in a variety of genres, so hopefully, there should be something for everyone. Some tales are stranger than others, but all could be said to be different shades of dark. Despite its somewhat suggestive title, Her demonic Angel is not erotic fiction.

Living with Postcards

Living with Postcards

Living with Postcards FRONT cover newThis non-fiction book describes my close relationship with old postcards, mainly fantasy ones. I have collected them since the nineteen seventies and now own over two thousand of these charming, beautiful, historic items. I started fanatically collecting them whilst writing my thesis on Fantasy in Postcards at Art College, where I was studying for a graphic design degree. My thesis won me a first with distinction, whereas my graphic art annoyingly gained me only a 2:2. I was asked by my art history tutor to lecture on the subject of Fantasy in Postcards, but as I was only twenty-one at the time I did not feel ready and declined. All the cards in my book are from my own large collection.

A perfect present from the past

The Lying Scotsman – Book Two of The Mug Trilogy

The words in this loosely autobiographical book were triggered by the entanglement between Mug, a recently divorced, disinherited, temporarily sex-obsessed woman and Michael, a complex, mendacious, Scottish baggage handler. Destiny threw this Gordian knot her way one night in early 2004. She was an honest, trusting, troubled woman in her late forties. He was an enigma in his late thirties who was hiding many shocking secrets. Her original plan was to write about their unusual story as a gift to him, taking the opportunity to describe her life prior to their meeting because it shaped how she felt about him, why she tolerated what others might deem unacceptable and dictated how she lived her future life. The purpose of this book changed into a desperate effort to make sense of unfolding, bizarre events and to help them both deal with the aftermath.

Potholes and Magic Carpets

Revised Potholes and Magic CarpetsThe main action takes place in rural Kent and London in 2015. It looks at the dramatic incidents, challenges and temptations in the past and present lives of four couples of varying ages, professions and sexual persuasions that are all linked by either blood or friendship. Just as in life, the negative, selfish, sometimes violent natures of some of the characters in Potholes and Magic Carpets wreak havoc on the innocent. A tale of not so simple folk.

Potholes and Magic Carpets is available on Amazon in both paperback and Kindle editions. An audiobook edition, narrated by Tracey Norman, is available on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes. Link to the paperback edition of Potholes and Magic Carpets on Amazon
